Because SXSW Interactive and SXSW Film run concurrently, March in Austin is a living and breathing example of real-world convergence. Take advantage of this fact by venturing outside the realm of emerging media and indulging yourself in old-school theater content. For instance, SXSW has teamed up with the fine folks at The Daily Reel, to present a program of their picks for the best online short videos from the last year. This program is mysteriously titled, "The Daily Reel Online Shorts Program.". This compilation is slated for Monday, March 12, at the Dobie Theater (2021 Guadalupe). Also, be sure to attend the world premiere screening of the documentary "Helvetica" on Tuesday afternoon, March 13 -- for this screening only, Interactive badges are admitted free. Both of these movie-related events should be a ton of fun, so be sure to check them out. And, don't forget to blog about all of it when you are done!
