Synopsis:
Two estranged sisters reunite five years after the death of their parents. Now in their early twenties, Rosie and Sonia each struggle to make it on their own. When the anticipated party is not what Rosie expects, Sonia's true agenda is revealed. The sisters begin to revisit their treacherous history. As Sonia slugs vodka and Rosie eats pills, their journey becomes dark and dangerous. Director's Bio:
Ry Russo-Young grew up in Downtown Manhattan. Her short film, MARION, won the Jury Award for best experimental short at the 2006 SXSW film festival and at the 2005 International Chicago Film Festival. In 2006, Ry produced and directed a series of short films for the Discovery Channel and www.Turnhere.com. Ry worked on artist Doug Aitken's large-scale film installation SLEEPWALKERS, commissioned by MoMA and Creative Time. | |
