Pete Townshend Keynote Wednesday Evening at 6:30pm

South By Southwest is pleased to announce Pete Townshend as our keynote speaker for the 2007 Music Conference.

The Who have recently resumed recording and performing activity with enthusiastically received performances and the excellent new CD, Endless Wire. In addition, Townshend and artist Rachel Fuller regularly present Attic Jam, a collaborative series of performances and webcasts featuring notable songwriters. From the British Invasion to today's digital world, Townshend is singularly inspiring among rock stars. The keynote is set for Wednesday March 14 at 6:30 PM, in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Austin, directly across from the Austin Convention Center, a new day, time and location for the kickoff of the SXSW Music Conference.
