Experimental Aircraft
Experimental Aircraft formed in the Fall of 1997 in Austin, Texas. The band recorded, produced and self-released their debut album in 1999 which was picked up and re-pressed by Devil In The Woods Records in 2000. In 2002 the band was set to release the follow-up on DIW when the label hit a snag with finances. Rachel picked up the album and released it on her own local Austin label, Rollerderby Records. Currently, the band is awaiting the release of their 3rd and most extensive album to date. Chicago's Graveface Records is scheduled to release the album this Spring. ExAir has toured the West coast 3 times, playing the NXNW festival in 1999 & 2000. In Texas they have played shows with Low, Sing-Sing (Ex-Lush), Asobi Seksu, Explosions in the Sky, Scout Niblett, Swearing At Motorists, +/-, Lift to Experience, Vietnam, The Black Angels, The Swirlies, Sixteen Deluxe, Swell, Clem Snide, Aspera as well as SXSW 2000-2005 and Wall of Sound 2005 & 2006. Looking for management, promotion, booking & label support (US, UK, EU, Japan). Sounds like: My Bloody Valentine, Bardo Pond, Slowdive, Bailter Space...
