Formed in Charlottetown in 1998, Windom Earle currently reside in Halifax, Nova Scotia and feature Stephan MacLeod (guitar/beats), alongside Greg Boone (bass) and Matt Packman (keyboards) also of the Halifax band Sharp Like Knives.

The band plays instrumental new wave synth pop and indie rock, sounding like a cross between The Go Team and New Order.

Windom Earle has four albums [Standard Equipment (1998), The New Technology (2000), The Things I Do For Girls (2004), and Goldwave (2006)]. Goldwave recently debuted at number one on Halifax's campus radio station, CKDU.

The band has been accepted to The 2006 Halifax Pop Explosion and the 2006 Pop Montreal Festival, and has shared the bill with Buck 65 (Halifax), Books On Tape (Los Angeles), Akron/Family (Brooklyn), Japanther (New York), Chad VanGalen (Calgary), Ninja Highschool (Toronto), and Sailboats Are White (Hamilton).

An '80s retro drum-machine foundation is corrupted beautifully by eccentricityWindom Earle gives techno such a wedgie, it might be more human.
Doug Taylor (June 8, 2006, The Coast Halifax's Weekly)
