Michael Fracasso
Genre: Singer-Songwriter Hometown: Austin TX
www.michaelfracasso.com
Michael is a noted singer who performs on vintage acoustic and electric guitars while stomping on a foot box and sounding the harmonica and also sometimes plays piano.

He has recently completed recording a new album, Red Dog Blues due out in 2007. On it he employs the horn section and producer/guitarist David Hamburger from the band, Beaumont LaGrange plus the talented rhythm section of JJ Johnson (Charlie Sexton Band) on drums and Byron Isaacs (Ollabelle) on bass. It has a decidedly "southern gothic" feel to it.
In Austin, Texas where he now resides, Fracasso was able to record his first CD Love & Trust in 1993 which features a duet with Lucinda Williams. He has made two albums (World in a Drop of Water and Back to Oklahoma) with producer/ guitarist Charlie Sexton and also collaborated with Charlie to write and record the music for the movie Monster Hunter. His last album, Pocketful of Rain featured several duets with Grammy nominee Patty Griffin for whom Michael opened her Spring 2006 tour. He has performed on several nationally syndicated radio shows including World Café, Mountain Stage and Acoustic Café as well as touring extensively throughout the US, Europe and Japan.
