  Carly Binding - So Radiate
Download   |   Stream
'So Radiate' is an album that asserts the next phase in both Carly Bindings career and ability as a writer and performer. It shows a confidence and passion which is unmistakable.
Here is a songwriter unafraid to create massive hooks with conviction. Just check the soaring chorus of the title track as proof. It's a powerful statement of intent from an artist that loves doing this stuff and who is constantly honing her ability to both write and perform.
Recorded seemingly effortlessly in Auckland's York Street Studios with New Zealander Clint Murphy (The Feelers, Bic Runga, 50 Cent, G Unit, Opshop to name but a few) at the desk and produced by Welshman Greg Haver (who's worked with a many and varied group of artists including Manic Street Preachers, Catatonia, Super Furry Animals and John Cale,) 'So Radiate' really does have a global perspective and a production that is indeed world class.
The new song marks the introduction to the follow-up to her Top 10 debut album, 'Passenger'. 'Passenger' went Gold, the singles 'Alright With Me' and 'We Kissed' were top ten hits on the New Zealand Singles Chart, while the third single, 'Love Will Save Me,' became the number one most played song in New Zealand.
Critics also hailed Carly’s effort, heaping praise on her punchy pop hooks and bittersweet lyrics. In a glowing four star review, even the NZ Herald said "Its 10 songs are solid, thoughtful, guitar powered, sometimes bittersweet things brought to life with confident arrangements and hooks of the non-annoying variety."
