Birds of Avalon are five people who write songs based harmonic guitar parts, uninhibited yet solid rhythms and soaring vocals. Songs ranging from quiet backwoods psychedelia to heavy prog pop reach effortlessly across cosmic soundscapes without totally leaving a hearty blues based foundation. They reach for a big sound that attempts to enliven all the senses. Members have spent time in some of NC's best bands, including Cherry Valence.
