Johnny Bush is a legend in Texas music. The drummer with Ray Price's Cherokee Cowboys and the writer of Willie Nelson's theme "Whiskey River," he is regarded by traditional country music fans as one of the finest country singers ever to come out of Texas. He recently completed his autobiography, Whiskey River (Take My Mind): The True Story of Texas Honky Tonk (University of Texas Press).
