Alih Jey
Alih Jey is a true artist with a distinctive voice in an industry always in need of something genuine. At age 23 she has an impressive resume: two albums with a major label, Billboard charting songs, and a major US tour alongside Paulina Rubio where she played for over 100,000 people during a one month period.
But Alih Jeys largest accomplishment has occurred this past year. After several years under a major label, Alih Jey is now on her own, taking full control of her life and career. Not wanting to be another musical cliché, she went straight to work and in less than a year was able to finalize all new material which will be released in the next few months. The result is an awesome contrast of sweet, enthralling vocals with powerful and hypnotic guitar-driven productions. "This new material is very personal. Each song is like a 3 minute audio diary... thankfully, no names are mentioned!" What makes this material even more special is the fact that is was co-produced by Alih Jey and her partner O. Vitto. Being one of the most prolific songwriters of her generation, Alih Jeys two previous albums contain all original music written or co-written by herself and great songwriters such as Richie Supa and Jodi Marr. Her songs have been covered and adapted to different genres, but always one thing remains: no matter how its played, the lyrics strike a chord with audiences. Alih Jey's newfound freedom and maturity, not only as a performer but as a woman, are evident in each song and one thing is clear to her... fighting for what is true to you is the only way to go. |
