SIMPLE KID, MAKES A RETURN.......

He released an album, 1, in 2003, it did OK, not great, but he liked it. He got stressed from touring / things falling apart. He quit for a while.

He got a job in his nearest video shop and spent days watching Weird Science and Werner Herzog movies and didn’t write any songs. He loved this. The Great Hibernation, he calls it.

He eventually decided that he wanted to write songs again so he did. He surprised himself by really enjoying it. So he recorded the songs and did some shows. He’s enjoying doing this at the present date. And he’s still surprised.

Please note: Simple Kid has completed recording the follow- up to SK1, it’s called 2. It will be released on October 23rd 2006 through Country Gentlemen Recordings. A single was released on Oct 3rd - The Ballad of Elton John / Serotonin.

He is picking up some very nice and effusive press reviews including 5* and CD of the week in The Sunday Times.

Last year he has opened for Richard Ashcroft, David Gray, Joseph Arthur and Erasure and performed at Green Man, Tapestry, Latitude festivals, as well as selling out his recent show at London's ICA and in 2007 Kings Collge, London

He will be touring further in the UK in May to support the release of the single - "The TwentySomething".
