After two critically-acclaimed releases, "Katonah" (2003) and "Apollo Sunshine" (2005), Apollo Sunshine are poised to bring their blend of rock with a splash of weirdness to a new level with their next release. After being named Band of the Year by both the Boston Phoenix and The Advocate (Springfield/Northampton), the band has been writing and recording at a feverish pace. This year, Apollo Sunshine has already been confirmed to appear at the Bonnaroo and Langerado Music Festivals, and will be busy throughout the summer festival season. This trip down to Austin will see the band hooking up with longtime friend Quentin Stoltzfus (ex-Mazarin), who has recently recorded material with the band.
