Eric Hanke

|
Hanke's debut record, "Autumn Blues," released in 2006 on Ten Foot Texan Records, received nation-wide airplay and reviews from the Austin Chronicle and Sing Out! Magazine, comparing Hanke's sound to Slaid Cleaves, Bruce Robison, and John Prine.
Michael Corcoran, from the Austin American Statesman, writes "Hanke's guerilla showcase at the 18th Annual Folk Alliance in Austin was a stand out. He has a great back up band and his breezy roots style is reminiscent of Jackson Browne and the Eagles." Hanke's band, composed of Merel Bregante(drums-Nitty Gritty Dirt Band/Loggins and Messina), Doug Hudson(Robert Earl Keen/Lyle Lovett), Sarah Pierce, and Jimmy Pettit(bass-Joe Ely) feature 4 part harmonies and a rootsy Americana feel. |
