Manikin is an Austin band who participated in the last four SXSW festivals as part of the Super Secret Records label showcase. Super Secret Records has released two full length CDs and one 7 record for the band since 2002, with the most recent release, the CD named Still, being released in mid 2005. The band received very good reviews of this CD as well as past SXSW appearances.

The band has a loyal following and is noted for their art-punk sound. In a town full of pop punk and indie rock, Manikin has a unique sound that sets it apart.

The band lineup is as follows:

Alfonso Rabago Vocals and guitar
BJ Schindler Bass guitar
Alyse Mervosh Drums

BJ comes from the recently deceased local Austin band Eastside Suicides and Alyse was formerly with local Austin band The Winks, and she also plays in local band The Hex Dispesers. Alfonso Rabago founded Manikin and remains the songwriter and singer for the band.

The band just recently completed a tour of the midwestern United States in September 2006.
