Formed in early 2006, Harris Tweed is Johannesburg, South African based indie/folk/pop duo Cherilyn MacNeil (singer/songwriter/guitars/piano) and Darryl Torr (Bass Guitar/Producer).

Harris Tweed have just finished supporting Jose Gonzalez on his sell-out South African tour & the video for their new single 'Ode To Confusion' has been added to MTV and VH1 in Europe in the past few weeks.

Signed to South Africa's leading independent label Just Music (South African home to Beggars Group, V2 & One Little Indian) their debut album 'The Younger' was released in August 2006 and the 1st single 'Superfly' has already been a #1 airplay hit in South Africa.

Harris Tweed's music has been described as 'eclectic art-pop' by critics and their music has been compared to the likes of: Frou Frou, Regina Spektor, Tori Amos, Heather Nova, Vanessa Carlton & Jewel.
