2002/02 Mothercoat originally organized.

2003/03 Participated in Demo-showcase event held by a director of ToshibaEMI(One of Japanese Major Music Company) and mothercoat won the special prize of the judge.

2003/08 Started recording 1st maxi single.
A song named "Soup" won the prize in Nack5 music challenger. (Nack5 is the major radio station in Japan.)

2003/11 Mastered 1st maxi single.

2003/12/23 Held the first self-organized event and gathered
more than 100 people.

2004/01 Started to write regularly Japanese Sanin Area local information Magazine "WINK".

2004/02
- Played at event held by Victor A&R(One of Japanese Major Music Company)
- Started playing outside Tokyo.
- Released 1st maxi single totally by band-self and succeed to distribute nation wide which is difficult for totally independent bands in Japan.

2004/09
- Participated in a compilation album organized by TOWERRECORDS Shinjuku branch.

2004/10　Held the second self-organized event and gathered more than 150 people.
Released 2nd maxi single"out coat"/3rd maxi single"in coat"
at the same time and sold out limited 200 release.

2005/02 Won the No.1 of weekly chart of disk union of Shimokitazawa that is home to Japanese indie music by ｢in coat｣｢out coat｣.

2005/11 Released 1st album "Interphone" from a label named
"TRUST OVER 30 recordings".
Held the 3rd self-organized event and gathered more than 200 people.

2006/12 Shown on the magazine "BARFOUT".

2006/3 Held self-organized tour-final event of 1st album and gathered more than 150 people.

2006/5 Participated in "Fanime2006" held in San Jose and
ended up with a great success despite it was the first gig abroad.

2006/7 Released 2nd album "mama manner" without a pause from 1st album from the label "TRUST OVER 30 recordings".

2006/10 Participated in "MinamiWheel" which is the biggest showcase event in Japan looking forwardto SXSW and greater success in the front of an audience of more than 250.
