Formed in Osaka, Japan in 2003. Hyakkei's first album "Standing Still in a Moving Scene" was released in June '06 from Human Highway Records.

"What I see in Hyakkei's music might be the primitive landscape of ancient Japan.It gives me a melancholic feeling of good old time, which I left somewhere long time ago, and genuine longing for what I lost. The words lose their power when the tiny little box lying in the deepest part of our heart resonates. 'Why is that sky so beautiful today? Why does it look so special today ?'... the question I had when I was a kid. Hyakkei brings back that question into my mind again after all those years.
