Lemon Sun
Lemon Sun entwine a melange of glamorous rock and roll, the innovation of indie rock, a rush of Motown soul and whimsical tinges of psychedelia. The members hail from various parts of the US (and a hint of overseas), but formed in Los Angeles in 2006, where they have steadily built a name and following for their energetic brand of rock and roll.
They have worked diligently for over a year playing most of Los Angeles' clubs as well as many shows in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Santa Barbara and stops along the West Coast. They have shared the stage with other great newcomers such as Cold War Kids, Mellowdrone, The Killers, British Sea Power, Rilo Kiley, Silversun Pickups, The Walkmen, Diamond Nights, Scissors For Lefty, Darker My Love, and more. The band features a charismatic singer unafraid of leaping off the stage and sharing his manic excitement with the audience. A talented guitarist, singer, keyboardist who lights up the stage with her sassy licks and sexy grin. A giant of a bass player who sings the backups while laying down a solid Motown groove. An "in the shadows", intriguing guitarist adding an element of edge and the esoteric to their rampaging pulse. All together bringing a groundbreaking sound fortified by the influence of the classics. Currently the group has a pair of EP's available, a full length to be released in Japan, and a live album released through Spaceland Recordings. |
