The Gentle Good
The Gentle Good is a solo acoustic multi-intrumentalist from Cardiff, South Wales. His acoustic guitar playing fuses the mystical sounds and melancholic tales of Welsh folk music with the syncopation of ragtime and blues. He also plays the Banjo, harmonica, mandolin, cello and keys, most of which can be heard on his first EP 'Find your way back home' and the limited edition single 'Amser'. The Gentle Good sings folk songs and original compositions in his native Welsh tongue, but also sings in English and Spanish. The subjects of his songs range from love, loss, trees and moss to dead horses on poles and drinking rum with fish. A favorite of BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens, The Gentle Good has received regular airplay on BBC Radio Cymru, BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio 1. In the summer of 2006 The Gentle Good played the prestigious Green Man Festival Crickhowell, which was recorded live for Radio 1. He is currently at work writing and recording his debut album which will certainly be a multi-lingual, multi-instrumental affair.
