22-Pistepirkko are easily one of Scandinavia�s most eccentric and evocative pop acts. The band�s sound and diabolical dynamic is a luminous, surreal, guitar-based electro-pop and proto-garage-psychedelia blended with elements of acoustic folk and spaced-out bohemian blues-rock.

22-Pistepirkko are slightly weird, slightly childish, slightly psychedelic, slightly rockin', but mostly epic, genius, and supremely Finnish. This unique mix and their remarkable personalities have earned them a dedicated fan base, and not only across Northern Europe.

22-Pistepirkko consists of brothers Asko and PK Ker�nen and childhood friend Espe Haverinen. The band has been around for almost 25 years.

In 2005 the band has released their 10th album �Drops & Kicks�, which they�ve produced in Gothenburg, Sweden together with Kalle Gustafsson of The Soundtrack Of Our Lives, Michael Ilbert (The Hives...) and John Hanlon, (engineer/producer for Neil Young).

Extensive and successful touring throughout Europe followed.

Moreover the band had been active on a wider range. This year the fab-three from Utarj�rvi, have founded their own label, Bone Voyage Recording Company, due to market and relaunch their back-catalogue, as well as all of their future recordings with more self-determination.

Following two recent book releases, a drawing book by Asko and the grand Finish 22PP biography (via Like Publ.) their own label just felt natural in order to expand the activities along with the interests. The releases (e.g. debuts by finish bands Goodnight Monsters or Kyt�j�) will reflect this broad interest and variety.

Another Bone Voyage release have been a long awaited film documentary on DVD, entitled �Sleep Good, Rock Well�, which could gain very good media response and had been shown on festivals throughout Scandinavia and Germany.

The band is working on a new album for 2007, for the first time together with an american producer - Kramer (Bongwater, Shimmydisc, Rolling Stone Producer of the year '97).
