Hailing from Manchester-Brighton-London, The Zico Chain are a fuzzed up, three-piece, rock 'n' roll revolution.

Feeling an over-whelming sense of apathy for the majority of music coming out of the UK in recent years, the band formed from the fallout of drinking too much good cheap booze and going to too many bad awful gigs.

The Zico Chain signed to Hassle Records in 2005 and released their self-titled mini-album to a great response in 2006. Tours/gigs with Alkaline Trio, Wolfmother, Thursday, Disturbed, Cave-In and Nine Black Alps followed and demonstrated the wide-ranging appeal and versatility of the band, as they won ever increasing amounts of fans on each date.

A triumph over sound problems adversity appearance at Download Festival in June 2006 gave the band a perfect send-off as they jetted off to LA to record their debut album with QOTSA/Tool/Backyard Babies producer Joe Baresi.
