As old friends and lovers, Chicago sextet The 1900s harness the resulting fury to create harmony-laden psychedelic pop music, most notably inspired by The Zombies, Fleetwood Mac, Tommy James, & Velvet Underground. A problem with keeping secrets and penchant for spreading rumors made for quite an arrival on the Chicago pop scene, where the 1900s were immediately embraced and sought after by fans and critics, as well as the city's most cherished bands.

The 1900s' heady live show is their trademark. In September 2005, their very first show (opening for Bobby Conn) ignited an on-the-spot invitation to release the band's debut EP on the Parasol Records imprint. Since then, they have shared bills with The Redwalls, Midlake, The Spinto Band, The Ms, Hockey Night and The Like Young. The six-song EP was released by Parasol in May 2006, and has since reaped local and national praise . The 1900s will spend this fall at Clava (4 Deuces) Studio in Chicago, recording their first full-length record with Graeme Gibson.
