Marit Bergman � Biography

So, what about me. My mum is Norwegian, my dad is Swedish, I was born in 1975. I grew up in a small town (R�ttvik), now I live in a big one (Stockholm) and maybe I will upsize another step quite soon. My life has been Madonna > X-ray spex>Discharge >Sonic Youth>Roberta Flack>Mary J Blige. I love horses, colors, fashion, music. I�ve been singing for as long as I can remember, writing songs since I was about 12, been in bands since I was 17, and I guess it all led up to this: being a songwriter and solo artist. I made my first soloalbum on my own label Sugartoy (R.I.P.). Got an audience, got some fine awards, sold some records. Got burnt out and depressed as well but I learned a lot. My new album is called �I Think It�s A Rainbow� (because I think it�s a rainbow). It�s my second album on SonyBmg Scandinavia (I�m still unsigned outside the Nordic countries) and third album altogether and of COURSE its my best one so far. I�ve quit writing the bad songs, now I just finish the ones I am head over heels in love with.

I have a super big band that I love playing live with (and everybody else loves us as well). When I can�t fit the whole group into my suitcase I just bring along �sa the Pianoplayer or Mattias the Bassplayer or both.
