Alfie Jackson - Vocals/Guitar, Rob Skipper - Vocals/Guitar, Bryn Fowler - Bass/Vocals, Dave Danger – Drums

When Alfie met Bryn by chance late in the summer of 2004, it was the start of this band. At the time, Bryn hadn't played guitar since his teens but he and Alfie immediately struck up a rapport; so Alfie said, "get a bass and we'll form a band".

A month later Bryn moved to a house across the road form Alfie - again by chance.

Within a week Alfie and Bryn were searching everywhere for a bargain bass; they soon found one and set straight to work. Bryn has had plasters on his fingers since.

The following Sunday Alfie took Bryn for a drink to the local pub and live venue, Nambucca, where there happened to be a game of bingo on. Some space boy thought he'd won when he got five numbers - not realising the idea was to get five numbers in a line… funnily enough a minute later Alfie actually got five in a line and won a date with a local hot Swedish girl, Emily. A little later the space boy takes to the stage and plays guitar and sings songs for what seems like an eternity.

Sunday September 19th, Alfie and Bryn are in Nambucca again and the space boy had returned to play a few songs; this time making a good impression. Alfie approached him after his set to ask if he fancied a jam and again, there was an immediate click between them.

Sunday October 10th, Alfie meets up with Rob in Nambucca to have a chat and jam. A friend of Alfie's called Dave, who lives above Nambucca, offers Alfie and Rob the use of his room to have a jam. An hour later Alfie and Rob come downstairs into the pub and play a set of six songs with guitar and fiddle parts and some great harmonies. The two receive a fantastic applause from the crowd and are then greeted by a wealth of praise when they leave the stage - particularly by Dave, who said he was "blown away… you guys went upstairs for an hour and came down and did a set like that. I wanna be your drummer."

Four days later (the 14th) the band have their first jam and it's a bit of a disaster with people getting lost, arriving late and having to leave early, none the less it was a start. On Sunday afternoon that same week the band jammed again and it simply clicked; songs like "Kings Cross Cutie” and “Reinvent Myself" sounded special already.

...and they all lived happily ever after.
