The pride of San Marcos, Texas, THIS WILL DESTROY YOU are an
instrumental quartet who play a cascading brand of cinematic rock music. �

Upon initially self-releasing their 6-song debut "Young
Mountain," the band rose to prominence swiftly, with the record being picked up by Virginia indie Magic Bullet and making countless 2006 top 10 lists (including Rock Sound's editor proclaiming it "Album of the Year"). �

SXSW marks the start of a busy year for THIS WILL DESTROY YOU, as they begin recording their sophomore album in April, followed by a summer release capped off with extensive North American and UK touring.

With the well-chronicled rise of imaginative and innovative Texan instrumentalists in recent years, many have wondered: "is it something in the water?"�On March 16 at Maggie Mae's, you'll be able to examine the tap and judge for yourself.
