Like their mythological namesake, Sasquatch has stealthily returned from the wilderness to wreak havoc with their own explosive brand of rock and roll. This time they come armed with the modestly titled "II" which picks up exactly where their 2004 debut left off. "II" features the same riff rockin', bass driven, heavy on the heavy rock that you'd expect from the boys but make no mistake this ain't no sophomore slump. While "II" is the natural and logical continutation of their self-titled debut, the album showcases the dynamic band that Sasquatch have become. The sounds are bigger and the songwriting is more refined yet they still manage to capture the raw essence that won them their moniker.

Formed in Los Angles back in the year 2001 by Philadelphia transplant Keith Gibbs and Detroit native's Rick Ferrante & Clayton Charles, Sasquatch has had the pleasure of refining their own brand of super heavy bone crunching rock and roll on the same stages with some of LA’s finest including: Fireball Ministry, Nebula, and Unida which in turn, has quickly helped the band become a local favorite and has helped to develop a name that is synonymous with quality rock. Drawing on influences from 70' metal, rock and psychedelia their songwriting approach is simple and mainly relies on the theories of feel and technique, a sorely missed aspect of most modern day rock amalgamations. But don't let their technique fool you, tight as they may be, when they come to play the kid gloves are off. Just ask any of the lucky folks who where priviladged enough to catch them down in Austin earlier this year at SXSW2006, Sasquatch just decimated the crowd. When you finally get a chance to see the band live, you will fully comprehend what we are talking about...

Sasquatch aren't much on ceremony. They come, record, and disappear into the tree line again. Their name fits these simple Midwestern boys. But when the amps are on they are a sight to behold. Like the mysterious creature in the wooded north you're lucky to get a glimpse of the myth that is Sasquatch. Pick up the second chapter of their story this fall and keep your eyes open, you never know when you might see one. . . .
