Daedelus, (real name Alfred Darlington) the eccentric, electronic maestro of the California coast has many baffling records to date. One of LA's most daring new artists, this musical romantic weaves together sonics that fall between honeyed melody and avant-electronics. Daedelus chops and splices disparate acoustic sources into incredible works of staggering resonance. Contrasting plunderphonics, styled cut-ups, and childlike arrangements, he has refined a style with no imitators, but many collaborators. Having worked with or remixed such artists as MF DOOM, Madlib, TTC, Busdriver, Cities, Prefuse73, Sa-Ra, Mike Ladd, Hrishikesh Hirway, and with labels like Yep Rock, Warp, Anticon, among many others. Exactly the kind of music diversity you'd expect from a fellow who happens to dress in Victorian clothing and names himself after an Ancient Greek Legend.

Under the Daedelus moniker, Alfred has released seven full-length albums in few years: Her's Is > (2001), Invention (2002), Rethinking The Weather (2003), Of Snowdonia (2004), A Gent Agent (2004), Exquisite Corpse (2005) and Denies The Day's Demise (2006). In addition, there have been a gaggle of other LPs, EPs, remixes and side projects along the way. On such project is a group called Adventure Time (formed with long-time friend and Dublab.com founder Frosty). The LP Dreams of Water Themes and EP Glass Bottom Boats have spawned from this creative duo.

A body of work released through Ninjatune, Plug Research, Mush, Alphapup, and Eastern Developments among others, Daedelus' rep is long since established.
