Nine-Days of SXSW Panels Programming

Throughout the nine-days of overlapping conferences, professionals in a vast array of creative industries gather to meet, learn, discuss, network, and share tips with each other about how to thrive within a fickle trade. Click on the headings below to go directly to the full panels schedule for that conference.

SXSW Film Panels

SXSW Film Conference panels can be as intimate as a one-on-one meeting with a film professional in the Mentor program, or jam-packed with registrants wanting the lastest tips and dish from the indie name du jour in one of the popular Interview sessions. In between there are lots of nut-and-bolts sessions on just about any aspect of filmmaking you can imagine. In addition, there is a free panel session at the Carver Center covering some of the basics of filmmaking. Keep an eye (or is that "ear") peeled for podcasts of selected sessions.


SXSW Interactive Festival Panels

SXSW Interactive The ever-expanding Interactive Festival panels run from the basics of how to best work SXSW to Keynotes from industry leaders to super-geeky sessions like Why XSLT is Sexy. The Carver Center (1165 Angelina Street) hosts a special free panel on creating a video blog on Friday, March 9 from 5:00-6:00pm. Many of the Interactive Festival sessions will be podcast during or after SXSW 2007.


SXSW Music Panels

SXSW Music Get ready for a jam-packed 4 days of SXSW Music panels. Beginning on Wednesday with the interesting, informative Crash Course sessions, the first day of panels concludes with Wednesday evening's Keynote by Pete Townshend. Interviews with other notables, CLE, Demo Listening and Mentor sessions, and many other panels covering a huge gamut of topics of interest to anyone trying to move ahead in the industry round out the rest of the days.
